There are different fundamental aspects of cyber security – Systemic, Organizational, Operational, and Unit – which must be combined to provide a fully integrated cyber security strategy. Each aspect is defined by a framework and a set of choices which leads to a cyber-security strategy that matches business requirements.
The Systemic framework defines how cyber-security is integrated with fundamental business processes at the corporate level and that apply to the whole enterprise. These processes provide the foundation on which the cyber-security strategy rests and are critical to overall success of a cyber-security strategy and its implementation.
The Organizational and Operational frameworks define sets of entities and activities for which strategy choices must be made at the corporate IT level. The choices here define the implementation architectures, technology and deployment roadmaps that must be developed further to have a successful implementation.
Dexa Systems uses the frameworks to help our customers identify areas critical to their business where detailed security strategies should be developed and implemented to provide an effective and sustainable defense in depth.
